Vaginal fungi

Fluconazole is an effective antifungal which targets the fungal cells by interfering with cell growth and division. It functions by inhibiting the fungal enzyme alpha-glucosidase, which produces the fungal cell membrane a tight seal. Without properly inhibited cells along the fungal cell membrane will not survive and growth is prevented. Fungal infection affects many bodily systems and triggers a wide variety of symptoms, some of which can be treatable.1,2
